The Graco Magnum X5 Airless Paint Sprayer is a professional paint sprayer that I use for a lot of remodeling work.  This electric paint sprayer has a ½ horsepower motor, with maximum pressure of 2800 PSI.  The gun that comes with it has a tip included, and maximum tip size is .023.  The quarter-inch hose is 25 feet long.

Since you’re paying a little more with the Graco Magnum X5 than you will with other sprayers available on the market, I want to say that this is a top-notch sprayer with a portable design that’s well worth the price.  For what you get in this product, it’s a bargain.

I haven’t always done the type work I’m doing now because I’ve been more on strictly the construction side of things.  With my remodeling business, painting came along with it.  I’d never used a paint sprayer until I got the Graco.  I didn’t want to waste any time, typical for me, so I did take the time to watch the instructional DVD that came with the Graco.  It was helpful, more so than the written instructions.

I’ve used the sprayer for many kinds of indoor and outdoor painting, like doors, interior walls, decks, siding, and ceilings.  In every case, the sprayer did a great job, producing a beautiful finish.

The 25-foot hose is long enough that it doesn’t cause any inconvenience getting projects done.

An extra is that the Graco is made in the USA.  I look for that when I make any kind of significant purchase.  Another plus, apparently, based on other reviews, is that it has great customer service.  I haven’t needed it myself; but I look for that in a company when I’m buying a product, too.

Pros:

  • Produces excellent results. You get professional quality results every time with this sprayer.

  • DVD included, for instruction.  I’m one of those who likes to go into something with all the helpful knowledge I can, so things go more smoothly.  I watched the DVD and had no problems using this sprayer.

  • Made in the USA.  If you care about supporting jobs in the US like I do, being made in the USA is a big plus.

  • Portable design.  This paint sprayer is convenient to transport.

Cons:

  • Clean-up not the easiest.  Whatever type of painting you have to do, there’s clean-up, of course.  It’s not terribly difficult to clean up the Graco after use; I just hate clean-up.  Why do you think it took me so long to paint?

  • Written instructions are lacking. It’s a good thing I watched the instructional DVD because the written instructions weren’t completely adequate.

When I got the Graco Magnum X5 Airless Paint Sprayer (262800), it was out of the necessity of getting into painting, which I’d never been interested in doing.  The Graco Magnum X5 is a great piece of equipment that enables me to get paint jobs done quickly.  It’s nicely portable and gives you a quality finish.  I give it 5 stars.  I’ve gotten a great deal of use out of it with no problems.
